Pōneke is located on Wellington’s wonderful waterfront on Clyde Quay wharf, which was once home to Wellington’s ferry terminal. Enjoy a selection of local wines and craft beer with an ever-changing menu inspired by Greek and Mediterranean influences. The space is drenched with sunshine on a good day in Welly.
The word Pōneke name reflects the name of Wellington Harbour; originally named Port Nicholson in 1826, early sailors and settlers shortened this to Port Nick. To the local Māori, the harbour became known as Pōneke.

The best thing about working at Mojo is the people who work here. There are so many Mojos across Wellington – we have an opportunity to get to know a lot of people and build a wide circle of friends. My love grew for coffee and its production in Melbourne where there is a great buzz in the coffee industry. When I moved to Wellington which was like a little Melbourne to me, I realised the buzz was on the same level and thats quite exciting.
My favourite moment of the day at work is when the Restaurant is pumping busy and my team are on the same page. When we all just work together and one look is enough to speak volumes – we all get a buzz from the service being on point.
In my spare time I unwind! I love hanging with friends, taking my dog for walk and spending time with the BF. I'm most passionate about people; my family, my friends, standing up for the little guy! I plan to make the world a better place to live by treating people the way I would like to be treated! And making excellent coffee!
