Finca Tirra is a unique farm in that it is owned and managed by CoopeTarrazu, a well-established co-operative based in Tarrazu, Costa Rica. CoopeTarrazu has been operating as a co-operative in the region for over 50 years and supports over 3000 farmers across Costa Rica.

CoopeTarrazu’s central mill is Costa Rica’s largest, employing over 250 workers and, in 2013, decided to invest in their own farm to produce specialty grade coffee lots.
Finca Tirra acts as a platform for CoopeTarrazu to trial new varieties, processes or techniques that can support their producers back at their farms.
