Max started his coffee journey in 2021 in our barista training facility. He quickly became passionate about the subject and completed many more of our barista courses. Since then, Max has fully immersed himself in the coffee world, learning from like-minded people and the best coffee experts across Wellington. 

He started competing in barista competitions while working in our cafes and truly made himself at home at our espresso bar on The Terrace – The Beanery. Last year, he qualified for the New Zealand national championship at Wellington's regional champs and eventually became the champion. 

Max has put in endless hours of practice to perfect his latte pours and espresso. Lately, Max has been hosting tasting talks at his cafe and teaching latte art workshops at our training facility, where he started his coffee journey.
