Established in 1990, Finca Las Flores was planted solely with Caturra and Colombia varieties. As time went on, the three sons of the then producer, Edilberto Vergara, began to have a greater impact on processing and operation decisions.

Jhoan Vergara, the middle son, applied his knowledge from working on other farms to begin introducing rare and varied varieties across the farm. Such varieties included Chiroso, Pacamara, Pink Bourbon and this Sidra variety. This variety, believed to have originated from Ecuador as a hybrid between Red Bourbon and Typica has a flavour profile like no other with distinct herbal qualities.
