Looking to build real-world hospitality and customer service skills that employers actually want? Our course gives you practical, hands-on training by professionals who have years of experience in bar, restaurant and cafe service, while gaining nationally recognised NZQA credits. 

You’ll complete Unit Standard 4645, where you’ll learn how to maintain a responsible drinking environment and confidently serve customers in licensed premises — a must-have skill for bars, restaurants, cafés, and events.  

With Unit Standard 14420, you’ll build your beverage knowledge, learning about alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, customer recommendations, and hospitality service standards. 

You’ll also complete Unit Standard 11817, developing professional face-to-face customer service skills, including creating great first impressions, understanding customer needs, and delivering outstanding service in a range of workplace situations.  

This course is perfect for anyone wanting to start a career in hospitality, retail, cafés, bars, tourism, or customer service. You’ll leave with confidence, industry knowledge, and practical skills that help you stand out to employers from day one. 

Whether you’re starting fresh or looking to upskill, this course is your pathway into an exciting, people-focused industry.

All three unit standards are Level 3 with 9 credits combined.
