Our coffee team visited Tanna Island, Vanuatu to meet with the Middle Bush Chief and his community of small-holder coffee farmers. This opportunity was made possible by Nasi Tuan, an NGO (Non governmental organisation), funded by the New Zealand government to assist the not for profit, Taloa Coffee co-operative. Recently we had the pleasure of working with Air New Zealand to celebrate the launch of their direct Chicago flights. With our flagship US store being in the other Windy City, it was a great opportunity to connect and share a slice of the Mojo way with some of the local Chicagoans. Te Wiki o te Reo Māori

 This year, we took part in Māori Language Week in all of our cafés. To help our customers and staff learn te reo, we designed some handy ‘How to order your coffee in te reo Māori’ cards, which included useful phrases and the Māori words for your favourite coffee order.  We had such a positive response from our customers that we have made te reo visible on all our menus from here on out! We think incorporating te reo Māori into our everyday language is essential and we’re lucky to be able to see the same regulars each day which gives them (and us)...
